Pablo “Excel” Medina, the force behind the #TheExcellentLife movement, is a seasoned DJ, Remixer, and Producer hailing from the vibrant city of New York. Beyond his engaging online shows featured on two radio stations, DJ Excel has become a fixture in NYC's nightlife scene, gracing the decks of prestigious venues.
This 37-year-old New York native seamlessly merged a thriving music career with ongoing education and service in the US Army, mentored by none other than former hip-hop DJ Danny Boy, renowned for his collaboration with DMX. Drawing inspiration from his father's extensive record collection, Excel's musical roots extend deep into both Latin and Hip Hop genres.
In 2014, Excel's undeniable talent caught the attention of Long Island's premier FM party station, Party105.3, where he became an integral part of the PartyFM family. Every Monday night at 6 pm, Excel hosted a mix-show that captivates listeners for 4 years straight. His illustrious journey includes sets at renowned nightclubs such as Slate NYC, High-line Ballroom, Irving Plaza, 1-Oak, Webster Hall, Hudson Terrace, Yotel, and Empire Rooftop. Recently expanding his reach to the West Coast, Excel secured a residency at 1050 Folsom in San Francisco, CA. Beyond the nightlife circuit, Excel's success extends to corporate acclaim, making him the go-to DJ for major brands such as Guess, Nike, Ilori, Mac, Sephora, Forever 21, and even the NYC Veterans Day Parade Organization. In 2022, DJ Excel strategically relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, enriching the Sunshine State's entertainment landscape with his unparalleled skills and vibrant energy.
